Narshima Jayanti 2026
Hare Krishna,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Sri Sri Radha Govindaji.

We will be celebrating Appearance of Lord Nrisimhadeva – Nrisimha Jayanti – on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The program will start at 6:00 pm with Chanting Prayers (Gaura Arati) and a short talk on glory of  Nrisimha Jayanti and Nrisimha Kavacha. Then we will perform havan (Fire Sacrifice). During the havan (Fire Sacrifice), we will be chanting Sri Nrisimha Kavacha Stotram and let all the devotees perform havan by offering ahuti. After the havan ceremony, we will distribute powerful Nrisimha kavachas (amulets) to our donors followed by prasadam (Free Vegetarian Feast). Fasting is recommended until dusk (around 9 pm on April 30, 2026) for those who are fasting.

Glory of Sri Nrisimha Kavacha: As prayed by and spoken by Prahlad maharaj, the Nrisimha-kavacha is the most pious, vanquishes all kinds of impediments, and provides one with all protection. It bestows upon one all opulences and can give one elevation to the heavenly planets or liberation. One should meditate on Lord Nrisimhadeva, Lord of the Demigods, seated upon a golden throne.

His mouth is wide open, He has three eyes, and He is as radiant as the autumn moon. He is embraced by Lakshmidevi on his left side, and His form is the shelter of all opulences, both material and spiritual.

The Lord has four arms, and His limbs are very soft. He is decorated with golden earrings. His chest is resplendent like the lotus flower, and His arms are decorated with jewel-studded ornaments.

He is dressed in a spotless yellow garment, which exactly resembles molten gold. He is the original cause of existence, beyond the mundane sphere, for the great demigods headed by Indra. He appears bedecked with rubies which are blazingly effulgent.

His two feet are very attractive, and He is armed with various weapons such as the conch, disc, etc. Garuda joyfully offers prayers with great reverence.

It is our humble request to all of you to attend the celebration of Nrisimha Jayanti.
